[ ITV ] PREMIERE VISION JEREMY SOMERS

Vittoria Belli

OTHER ORDER

Now just imagine: The human is extinct, and another terrestrial intelligence or even extra terrestrial species comes along and finds fragments of our existence. How would and could this culture piece together the puzzle of humanity. We can presume a non human breed with a non human history, maybe not even a humanoid body shape, would look at our remains from a very different angle. Our logic, our approach, our self conception or image can not be translated, cannot be the standard for the rest of the universe.

Loss

LOSS

“Mostly it is loss which teaches us the worth of things.”

“Meist belehrt erst der Verlust über den Wert der Dinge.”

Arthur Schopenhauer in “Parerga and Paralipomena” a collection of philosophical reflection. As humanity evolves and our planet becomes more stressed with its inhabitants needs and greeds, dealing with loss is our chance for the future and maybe our only actual chance for survival. Loss is as much part of our world as eating, drinking, walking, talking is. Its a daily occurrence: lost my glasses, keys or marbles. Mainly nothing serious, we find the keys, the glasses are on our head and the marbles suddenly roll round as normal. But some loss is irreplaceable, lost for ever. Learning from these experiences could allow us to make decisions earlier, which will help us to protect this amazing planet for future generations. What is gone - is no more, the future can be amazing as long as we are considerate, sensitive and learn.

“Jeder dumme Junge kann einen Käfer zertreten. Aber alle Professoren der Welt können keinen herstellen.”

“Any stupid boy can crush a beetle, but all the professors in the world cannot create a new beetle.”
(Schopenhauer again)

As a society we are surrounded with problems:
BEES ARE DYING
LOSS AND EXTINCTION OF LIFE, BOTANICAL AND ZOOLOGICAL
LOSS OF PRIVACY
LOSS OF BELONGINGS
LOSS OF DIRECTION, MORAL VALUES
COMPOST, ROTTING, DECAYING BEAUTY AND VALUES
BALLOONS BURSTING, DREAMS BURSTING
CLIMATE CHANGE
LOST CITY UNDER THE OCEAN, METAPHOR FOR LAND FLOODING
MANDALAS REPRESENT IMPERMANENCE

Consciously or not, we are all on a quest for answers, trying to learn the lessons of life. We grapple with fear and guilt. We search for meaning, love, and power. We try to understand fear, loss, and time. We seek to discover who we are and how we can become truly happy.

Other order

Elasmosaurus an aquatic dinosaur with an unbelievably long neck, circa 70 cervical vertebrae, longer than any known animal, dead or alive and known. E D Cope dug out the bones and instead of placing its scull on the neck, situated it at the wrong end of the creature. His opponent Othniel C Marsh, a palaeontologist, let Cope and the whole world know about this mistake, and started the so called "Bone War" between the two men. In their competition to discover more and more fossils, they also made more mistakes. At one occasion Marsh put a skull of one Dinosaur on a body, of a completely different breed.

This "living thing", will have problems to distinguish between traditional clothes or fashion, religious garments or carnival costumes.

Intelligent print

In a world of print overload we think its time to concider with care what we want to wear ...
The choices we make should be made intelligently . The time has come to step back and think before we move..
